Anima is the new album by Eugenio Picchiani, from tomorrow in all digital stores

Released Friday, January 19th in all digital stores and music platforms “Anima” (LDAmusic), the new album by singer-songwriter Eugenio Picchiani. From the same day on the radio the song “Arcobaleno” with the extraordinary participation of Mariella Nava. The album will be presented live on January 21st at 18.00:172 pm in Rome, in the splendid setting of Stazione Birra (Via Placanica,10 – entrance €06.79845959 with free CD, info: XNUMX). On stage with the artist also Sergio Lepidio (guitars), Fabrizio Termignone (bass), Daniele Di Paolo (keyboards), Alessio Renzopaoli (drums).

Composed of 10 songs written by Eugenio Picchiani and arranged by Sergio Lepidio, to which is added a cover of the song “Ancora, Ancora, Ancora” by Mina, “Anima” represents for the artist a goal achieved, a confirmation and at the same time a restart towards new objectives and lighter sounds, touching on themes inspired by creative connections that inevitably lead to reflection.

In the vast universe of our mind, an energy shines that has no end, it is the Soul, to which we belong not only individually. It is a collective force that bursts like a river in flood, challenges fate and preserves the teachings of the past, always looking to the future. Soul is the lighthouse in the storm, the fire that does not go out, the voice of humanity, the truth of our days reflected in us. Soul that is patient, supports and guides in all the jolts of life.

Eugenio Picchiani states: “Mariella Nava has always been my favorite singer-songwriter, since her debut I have appreciated the writing and the artistic truth of her songs and her interpretations. Our meeting dates back to a few years ago, when in my album “Tanti io” I chose to include her song “Immagina”, re-proposed by me in a pop version. I really wanted to collaborate with her and with “Arcobaleno” I fulfilled this dream of mine. When Mariella heard it for the first time she wanted to do a duet herself. And now when I listen to the result I always believe that the stars all lined up in my favor for all this to happen. Mariella with her sensitivity and her special artistic perception was able to enhance me, that's why I will never stop thanking her”.

Biography

Eugenio Picchiani, since he was a child, showed an extraordinary aptitude for singing, dancing and acting. At a very young age he participated with a small role in the film “All'ultimo minuto” by Pupi Avati (1987), to later play the Rebel Angel, Paolo, Caronte in the musical “Divina Commedia” (2010 – 2012), without ever losing sight of music and his creativity in writing songs performed by him. His first experience in the RCA recording studios was with Bruno Zambrini, and then continued his musical path with excellent collaborations including Maestro Stefano Zavattoni, Davide Aru, Roberto Gallinelli, Emiliano Torquati, Sergio Lepidio. He also participates in various events and television broadcasts receiving numerous awards. He has five albums to his credit: Angeli (1990), A Ruota Libera (1992), distributed by WEA, Tanti Io (2007), L'Antidoto (2016) and Divenire (2018).

Il 4 dicembre 2019 con il videoclip del brano Eclissi riceve il premio alla “XVII edizione di Roma videoclip – il cinema incontra la musica”, nella suggestiva Sala Fellini di Cinecittà Studios. Nel 2021 escono i singoli “Cappellaio Matto”, a sostegno delle donne vittime di violence (videoclip diretto da Fabio Schifino), e “Il Circo”, un brano psichedelico dalle sonorità tecno-pop (videoclip per la regia di Christian Antonilli). Il 19 maggio 2023 pubblica il singolo “Alleluia” accompagnato da un videoclip per la regia di Nino Villani. A gennaio 2024 esce il nuovo album “Anima”.
