A 47-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri of Caserta for attacking his nineteen-year-old daughter, who was six months pregnant, with slaps and punches.
The episode occurred late yesterday evening, March 8. The young woman called 112 reporting that she had been beaten by her father for trivial reasons, in the presence of her one-year-old daughter and her younger sister.
The Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus intervened promptly and found the young woman shaken and frightened. The man, in an evident state of psychophysical alteration due to alcohol abuse, threatened to kill his daughter even in the presence of the military.
The young woman was taken to the hospital for medical treatment
The victim was rescued by 118 personnel and transported to the Emergency Room of Caserta Hospital for medical treatment.
The young woman filed a complaint against her father, saying that the beatings and threats from him were frequent and had been going on for a long time.
The man was arrested and taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison. He will have to answer for mistreatment against cohabiting family members.
