Ambush on the border between Castellammare and Pompeii: a 35-year-old injured.
It happened shortly before midnight in via Fontanelle. The injured man is 35-year-old Claudio Cacace: he was hit in the legs by a single bullet.
He arrived alone at the emergency room of the San Leonardo hospital in Castellammare. The doctors, after stabilizing him, alerted, as is standard practice in such cases, the police.
The man, interviewed for summary information, was unable to provide useful information to trace the perpetrators and therefore to give a reason for the gesture.
The police are seeking confirmation of the version provided by the injured man and are looking for any traces and cartridges left in the area indicated by the shooting.
