The modernization works on the Bagnoli-Torregaveta section of the railway have been completed on schedule. Cumana.
The Autonomous Authority of Volturno announced this, explaining that "the works involved the commissioning of the new route from the Pozzuoli station to the Arco Felice station, approximately two kilometers long, the unblocking of the new Monte Olibano tunnel and the construction of the platform in the Gerolomini station and finally the opening of the passage to the new Pozzuoli tunnel".
Tomorrow, Saturday 20 April, train circulation tests will be carried out on the section affected by the works, so that from the first service on Sunday 21st circulation will resume, with the passenger service, on the entire line from Montesanto to Torregaveta.
For a few days after, Cumana “will be – as underlined by Eav – affected by slowdowns on the new track section, as normally required in these cases. However, the effects on travel will be limited to the order of five minutes of delay on the scheduled timetable”.
