An initiative aimed at celebrating the uniqueness and beauty of Italian territories takes shape thanks to the collaboration between the Lega Nord and the Serie A, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ice-Agency and the 20 Serie A Tim clubs.
The project “Champions of the Made in Italy:“, illustrated on the Lega A website, involves the main foreign footballers of the 20 Serie A teams, who talk about the peculiarities and wonders of the Bel Paese in their native language or in English.The videos, each 12 minutes long, were shot at the International Broadcast Center in Lissone and distributed worldwide by over 70 broadcasters that broadcast the Italian championship in approximately 200 different countries. Subtitled in 8 different languages, the videos allow global fans to get closer to Italy, discovering and appreciating its beauties, from the most famous attractions to the hidden gems.
The content, distributed both in full and in clips, has received wide coverage on Lega Serie A's social media platforms. Currently available on the Lega Serie A's official website, the videos feature protagonists such as Dragusin (Genoa), Pablo Marì (Monza), Leao (Milan), Milenkovic (Fiorentina), and others.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Antonio Tajani, “Serie A is not only a sporting event, but also a tool of “growth diplomacy” that promotes Made in Italy in the world”. The CEO of Lega Serie A, Luigi De Siervo, underlined the importance of Serie A as a vehicle for promoting Made in Italy, showing the entire world Italian excellence through football.
