Naples. The Finance Police of the Provincial Command of Naples, as part of an operation aimed at combating counterfeiting, seized over 3.000 counterfeit items and a clandestine factory.
The investigations, conducted by the Rapid Response Group of the Investigative Unit of the Economic and Financial Police, began with the discovery of a warehouse in the basement of the Centro Direzionale in Naples.
Inside the warehouse, crammed in precarious conditions, thousands of counterfeit items were found, including clothing, clothing accessories, bags and shoes, reproducing the brands of famous fashion houses such as Louis Vuitton, Adidas, Nike, Gucci, Balenciaga, Fendi, Armani, Versace, Prada, Burberry, North Face, Stone Island, The Dsquared, Lacoste and Palm Angels.

Through targeted investigative investigations, the Finance Police managed to trace the premises where the counterfeit goods was assembled. It is a real clandestine factory located in the Chiaiano district of Naples.
Inside the factory, the military found over 70 pieces of equipment, including sewing machines, heat guns, frames, paints and spatulas, as well as labels, packaging material and 8 rolls of 250 meters of leather each of high quality, ready to be processed.

At the end of the operation, the Finance Police reported two Neapolitan citizens, father and son, for the crimes of counterfeiting and receiving stolen goods. The two identified premises, the equipment, a car and over 3.000 counterfeit items, for a total value of approximately 500.000 euros, were seized.
The operation of the Finance Police represents an important result in the fight against counterfeiting, a phenomenon often reported in the news of Naples that not only damages the legal economy but also represents a danger to the health and safety of consumers. The commitment of the Guardia di Finanza in fighting this type of crime is constant and aims to protect the market and citizens.
