The man, who had already been responsible for violent behaviour towards his wife on other occasions, ex-girlfriend, he was arrested red-handed after having attacked and threatened the woman in Piazza Giovanni Leone.

The 35-year-old armed with scissors threatened the woman
Reconstructions revealed that shortly before, the man had suddenly approached his ex-partner and punched her violently in the face, knocking her to the ground.
The woman, a previous victim of violence by the man, was rescued by two passersby who intervened to try to calm the situation. Despite the passersby's intervention, the man continued to threaten the woman with the scissors.
After verifying the facts, officers arrested the man, identified as a 35-year-old Neapolitan with a criminal record. In addition to the crimes of domestic violence, threats, and aggravated assault, the man was also charged with possession of weapons or offensive objects.
The arrested man was taken to Naples prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
This episode of domestic violence is unfortunately yet another recent one to hit the news in Naples. Law enforcement officials are therefore urging women who have been victims of violence to report the abuse they have suffered to law enforcement. They are not alone and can count on the support and assistance of the institutions.
