Naples. A 35-year-old man, with a criminal record, was arrested this morning by officers from the Vicaria-Mercato and Decumani police stations for mistreatment in the family, threats and aggravated personal injury.

This morning, during a territorial control operation, the officers noticed the man who, holding a pair of scissors, threatened a visibly shaken woman with a swollen face. The military promptly intervened, blocking the man with no small difficulty.

From the reconstructions it emerged that the man, shortly before, had suddenly approached his ex-partner and punched her violently in the face, making her fall to the ground.
The woman, who had been a victim of violence by the man in the past, had been helped by two passers-by who had intervened to try to calm the situation. Despite the intervention of the passers-by, the man had continued to threaten the woman with the scissors.
The officers, having ascertained the facts, arrested the man, identified as a 35-year-old Neapolitan with a police record. In addition to the crimes of mistreatment in the family, threats and aggravated personal injury, the man was also reported for carrying weapons or objects capable of offending.
The arrested man was taken to the prison in Naples at the disposal of the Judicial Authorities.
The episode of domestic violence is unfortunately the latest one that has been reported in recent times by chronicles of Naples. For this reason, law enforcement agencies invite women who are victims of violence to report the abuse they have suffered to law enforcement agencies.
