Naples. It has been decided to reactivate taxi stands in Via San Carlo during events taking place in Piazza del Plebiscito.

This was established during a meeting at the Prefecture attended by the Prefect of Naples Michele di Bari, the Police Chief, representatives of the taxi drivers' categories and the Local Police Command.
On the occasion of major events in Piazza del Plebiscito, for security reasons, the Municipality of Naples, following instructions from the Police Headquarters, ordered the temporary suspension of parking spaces taxi in via San Carlo and piazza Carolina.

The taxi drivers' trade associations had raised the issue of the suspension of parking spaces, which created inconveniences for both taxi drivers and citizens.
