Last night, the Carabinieri of the Casoria radiomobile section arrested a 25-year-old local for resisting a public official and failing to comply with the obligations arising from the special surveillance to which he was subjected. The episode occurred in Via Cavour, where the soldiers noticed a car with three people on board.
The driver was the young man, already known to the police, who did not stop at the checkpoint imposed by the Carabinieri, thus starting a chase. The car was stopped after a few minutes in vico I Santa Croce. The 25-year-old, who should have respected the measure of special surveillance with the obligation to remain at home during the night and to report daily to the judicial police, was promptly arrested.
The vehicle also had two passengers, both 18 years old, who were identified by law enforcement. It emerged that the 25-year-old was driving without ever having obtained a license, adding another violation to his already numerous offenses. The young man arrested is now awaiting trial, while investigations continue to clarify the position of the two passengers.
