In Qualiano, the military of the local station and the Carabinieri of the local company's radiomobile section arrested Amerigo Antonio Sigillo, a 22-year-old local already known to the police, for evasion and resisting a public official.
It was night when the police they noticed Sigillo outside his home while talking to another person, even though he was under house arrest and should therefore be at home. Seeing the patrol, the young man fled inside the apartment.
The carabinieri entered and discovered that Sigillo had changed clothes in an attempt to deceive them. The ruse, however, did not work and the 22-year-old tried to resist arrest, grabbing a knife and threatening the officers.
The intervention of a second patrol led Sigillo to calm down and throw away his weapon, finally deciding to surrender. He is now awaiting trial.
