The worldwide hit fiction The brilliant friend lands in New York at the Tribeca Film Festival, where on August 20th at 19.00pm the following films will be screened: preview absolute, the first two episodes of the fourth series, then broadcast by Rai 1 starting Monday, November 11.
The screening is expected to feature protagonists Alba Rohrwacher, Irene Maiorino, actor Fabrizio Gifuni, director Laura Bispuri and Saverio Costanzo, showrunner of the series.
Based on Elena Ferrante’s bestselling novels, a literary saga that topped The New York Times’s list of the 100 best books of the XNUMXst century, the fiction My Brilliant Friend – “My Brilliant Friend” in the English translation – follows the life of Elena Greco and her best friend Raffaella, “Lila” Cerullo in a story that spans sixty years of personal and Italian history.
He first sees them as children in a Napoli of the 50s and then grow up and become adults in the 80s, in a society marked by decades of political violence and social unrest.
The fourth part of the tetralogy, “Story of the Lost Child” – delves into the adult years of the two protagonists: between motherhood, betrayals, threats, disappearances and natural disasters, Elena and Lila will find themselves once again living in the same neighborhood.
