The modern-day “Adelina” of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, Ana Zahirovic, the 31-year-old originally from Bosnia and born in Zagreb, has been arrested after almost two decades.
Known as “Lady Scippo”, she has accumulated a long criminal record, mainly for thefts and pickpocketing committed in various Italian cities.
Zahirovic's criminal career began at a young age, with his first recorded theft in 2000, at the age of just seven.
Despite numerous arrests and convictions, she managed to avoid long prison sentences thanks to a series of pregnancies. This strategy allowed her to postpone her entry into prison on several occasions.
In her last arrest, which occurred in June 2023 after a pickpocketing case in Rome, Zahirovic received a total sentence of 30 years. However, due to her recent pregnancy, she may request a deferment of her sentence.
