The quiet evening of August 3rd, inside the Cerro Area of the Terme di Telese, was abruptly interrupted by an act of violence that saw two young people audience to be slightly injured during a game of beach soccer.
The sports competition was part of the Telesia Summer Village summer event, attracting numerous participants and spectators.According to the investigations conducted by the police, Benevento, the shots were fired from a small-caliber air rifle, and the responsibility was attributed to two sixteen-year-olds living in the area. The youths had positioned themselves in the wooded area behind the sports field, from where they fired the shots that injured the two spectators.
The searches carried out this morning in the homes of the suspects led to the seizure of an arsenal hidden in an ingenious way. Among the objects found, a Gamo model air rifle, hidden inside a guitar case, a Colt air pistol with a loaded magazine and without a red cap, a box of lead pellets identical to those used during the incident, as well as four daggers and a switchblade. In addition, the clothing that the young people were said to have worn during the action was seized.
The two minors will be reported for complicity in the illegal possession of weapons and injuries, and the authorities have started the process for issuing a Prohibition of Access to Sports Events (DACUR). Both young people have specific police records for damage, receiving stolen goods and illegal possession of weapons, and in the past they have already been the recipients of judicial measures for similar crimes.
