The circulation of the trains on the important high-speed line between Rome and Naples has been suspended due to a fire broke out near the tracks, between the towns of Salone and Anagni, located between the provinces of Rome and Frosinone.
Passengers are advised to check live updates for further information on delays and any cancellations.The accident forced high-speed trains to be diverted onto the conventional rail line, causing delays that, according to RFI (Rete Ferroviaria Italiana), could last up to an hour and a half. The possibility of cancellations, which could affect both high-speed trains and regional transport, cannot be ruled out.
RFI technicians have already intervened at the site of the fire, while the intervention of the firefighters to put out the flames and secure the area. Authorities are monitoring the situation to try to restore normal rail traffic as quickly as possible.
