A theft that broke the hearts of a family from Acerra, in the province of Naples, not so much for the economic value of the stolen goods, but for the loss of the beloved dog of a 12-year-old girl, affected by a serious genetic disease that forces her to use a wheelchair. This is the desperate appeal of Rosario, the girl's father, who asks only for the return of the puppy, an orange German Spitz named Maui, stolen during the robbery.

“I don’t care about the jewelry, but I beg whoever took the dog to return it. My daughter has fallen into a state of distress, and her condition is getting worse.”, said Rosario, visibly distraught. The thieves broke into the family's apartment taking advantage of an absence of a few hours, stealing jewelry worth tens of thousands of euros. But the most painful loss was that of Maui, the little girl's faithful companion, who for her is much more than a pet.

“That dog is everything to my daughter. They took him and the jewelry, but I only care about having him back”, continued Rosario, explaining that Maui is microchipped, in the hope that this will help track him down. The family of Acerra, already severely tested by her daughter's illness, is now living hours of anguish. Rosario launches a final appeal: "I hope in the heart of whoever committed this act and ask that the dog be returned to us. I am not interested in the rest of the stolen goods, only in the well-being of my daughter."
