A Casavatore, the Carabinieri of the local station arrested a 43-year-old with no criminal record on charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.
During a routine patrol on Corso Europa, the military noticed a man who, at the sight of them, fled at the entrance of a building located at number 143.
Suspicious, the carabinieri entered the entrance hall of the building, where they tracked down the 43-year-old, who was unable to provide any explanations for his presence there.
During the search, the man was found in possession of 345 euros in cash, two cell phones and a key.
Using that key, the carabinieri inspected the mailboxes and one of them opened, revealing three envelopes each containing 25 sticks of hashish for a total of 200 grams, as well as a pack of cigarettes that hid 9 doses of cocaine.
