The European Heritage Days, the largest and most popular cultural event in Europe, will be held on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September.
At Royal Palace di Napoli, durante questi due giorni, saranno organizzate visite guidate al turret of the Belvedere, reachable via an exclusive path in the attics.
For the first time, the public will be able to access this extraordinary panoramic point of the Palace, a place that since its construction was reserved exclusively for sovereigns.
After recent restoration work, visitors will once again be able to enjoy a unique space from which to admire one of the most spectacular views of the Gulf of Naples and the city.
The Belvedere tower, located in the southern part of the building, rises about 70 meters above Via Acton and covers a surface area of about 150 square meters. Overlooking the Gulf of Naples, it has three large windows that open onto a balcony, and was built in neoclassical style as part of the works commissioned by Ferdinand II of Bourbon to the architect Gaetano Genovese after 1837.
On Sunday 29 September, at 11:00 am, in the veranda of Villa Pignatelli, now under the direction of the Royal Palace, the event “Musica in villa” will be held, organized by the musical association “Maggio della musica”.
The protagonists will be two young Italian talents, Giancarlo Grande and Simone De Nicolò, selected for the piano contest.
The extraordinary evening opening on Saturday 28 September will instead allow access to the Appartamento di Etichetta of Palazzo Reale (from 20:00 pm to 23:00 pm, with last entry at 22:00 pm) and to the Diego Aragona Pignatelli Museum (from 19:30 pm to 22:30 pm, with last entry at 21:30 pm), at the symbolic cost of 1,00 euro.
