Through the experiences of the six protagonists, the viewer is guided on a journey of discovery of the resilience and personal growth of these women.
A personalized and integrated approach
With over 830.000 women living with a diagnosis of breast cancer in Italy, and an annual incidence of approximately 55.900 new cases, breast cancer remains one of the main health challenges. However, thanks to advances in scientific research and therapies, 5-year survival from diagnosis has reached 88%. Professor Alessandra Fabi explains the importance of a holistic approach to the disease, which addresses not only the clinical aspect, but also the emotional and relational well-being of patients. 'Distances' represents a starting point to promote dialogue and accompany women on a journey of rediscovery and hope. The docuseries is available on the official website and on the campaign's social platforms, offering a tool for support and empowerment for all women facing this challenge.
