Villaricca. A sushi bar and a pizzeria linked to the Ferrara-Cacciapuoti clan and registered under the name of a front man were seized this morning by the military of the Economic-Financial Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza

The provision was executed by delegation of the Public Prosecutor of Naples, and issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate.

The seizure originates from the investigations that, on June 5, 2023, led to the arrest of several people, including two prominent members of the clan, one of whom was considered the referent of the economic and commercial activities of the organization, namely Francesco Ferrara.

The economic and financial investigations conducted by the GICO of Naples have highlighted that one of those arrested, already sent to trial for mafia association and currently in prison, was the hidden owner, through front men, of two companies in Villaricca that managed restaurants, sushi bars and pizzerias.

The companies in question were allegedly acquired with illicit proceeds and subjected to numerous corporate transformations and fictitious ownership operations over time.

The two companies allowed revenues of 600 thousand euros per year

Furthermore, it was found that the family nucleus of theinvestigated he received income that was disproportionate to the value of his commercial activities, estimated at around 600 thousand euros.

For these reasons, the company shares, business complexes and assets of the two companies were seized and entrusted to a judicial administrator appointed by the GIP of the Court of Naples.
