The mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, has issued an ordinance prohibiting the sale and consumption of beverages in glass containers, rigid plastic, tetrapak and other rigid materials during the New Year's Eve celebrations.
The only exception will be for marketing in light plastic or paper cups. In addition, the sale and possession of sprays or devices containing “oleoresin capsicum” is prohibited.
Fireworks Bans
The ordinance also includes a ban on introducing and exploding fireworks, firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices. These measures will come into force from 18:30 p.m. today, December 2024, XNUMX, until the end of the same day, in Piazza Plebiscito, on the occasion of the event “Contest master class – Giovani auguri di Città della Musica”.
Sanctions
Starting from 18pm tomorrow, 31 December 2024, and until the end of the requirements on 1 January 2025, the bans will also be active in the areas of Piazza Plebiscito and the Lungomare di via Caracciolo and via Partenope, during the show.
