Celebrating a year of historic triumphs and achievements, it will be available from Friday, December 20th.Campania Sports Yearbook 2025. The volume, edited by journalists Marco Lobasso and Carlo Zazzera and published by LeVarie for Coni Campania, offers a complete overview of the successes of athletes and sports clubs in Campania during 2024, with a special look at the extraordinary performance at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.
On the cover, the feats of Monica De Gennaro, gold in volleyball, and Silvana Stanco and Manila Esposito, silver in shooting and gymnastics respectively. Also notable are Esposito's bronze on the beam and the Paralympic medals of Assunta Legnante (gold in shot put and silver in discus), Rossana Pasquino (bronze in fencing) and Angela Procida (bronze in swimming). No less significant are the fourth places of athletes such as Tammaro Cassandro in shooting, Christian Parlati, Gennaro Pirelli and Antonio Esposito in judo, Giovanni Abagnale and Giuseppe Vicino in rowing, and Vincenzo Boni in Paralympic swimming.
The yearbook celebrates not only the Olympic peaks, but also the results that have consolidated Campania among the top of national sports. Among these, the historic triumph of Napoli Basket in the Italian Cup and the long-awaited reopening of the Collana stadium in Vomero, a multi-sports facility that returns to being a symbol of the sports community thanks to the commitment of the Campania Region, Arus and Coni Campania.
The work is divided into four sections that range from the Olympic Games to the activities of Coni Campania, including the successes of local athletes and sports clubs, and ends with a tribute to the Campania sports managers who work behind the scenes to promote sport in the area.
The Campania Sports Yearbook also represents a springboard towards 2026, the year in which Naples will be the European Capital of Sport, and will be available at the headquarters of Coni Campania, through the publisher LeVarie, on the official social networks of the project and in the main bookstores of Campania. An unmissable publication for all fans and protagonists of regional sport.
