The mayor of Sessa Aurunca has ordered the closure of schools to allow for an inspection of the structures. “Our territory has been affected by a seismic event. To ensure everyone's safety and to allow the relevant offices to carry out the necessary surveys on the school structures, schools of all levels will remain closed today,” reads a post on Facebook. The institutes will also remain closed in Theano, Carinola and Vairano Patenora.
Fear for the shock with some citizens who took to the streets as a precaution and then returned, but at the moment there are no reports of damage to people or things. Few calls have also been received by the Caserta Fire Department, which has not reported any particular emergencies. R
schools will instead be open in Mondragone and Cellole; here the mayor Guido De Leone has decided that the schools will be open "so as not to create inconveniences for working families", while still leaving parents free to decide whether or not to send their children to school.
