The law that expressly bans the Chinese social network Tik Tok in the US starting tomorrow, January 19, has been upheld by the US Supreme Court.
The appeal filed by the Asian company, which had invoked freedom of expression, was to no avail. Donald Trump, asked about the dispute, told CNN that he will make a final decision, but did not specify what it will be.
The White House has confirmed that the new President Donald Trump will have the final say on the Tik Tok affair, hoping that the social network will remain accessible in the United States as long as it respects national security standards.
The Supreme Court, for its part, confirmed the critical issues in terms of security that affect the Chinese social network, a social network that collects a huge amount of data from registered users.

It's a complex situation with Tik Tok in the US, I don't know if it's right to ban a social network that has so many users. Freedom of expression is important, but there are also concerns about security. It would be useful to find a compromise.
