The episode, which has attracted particular attention, has been reported to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office. The intervention is part of the operations carried out by the agents to ensure road safety and compliance with the regulations in the city.
Among the most significant interventions, the agents of the San Lorenzo Operations Unit were engaged in via Ferrante Imparato to detect a road accident. During the operations, a man who had already been the recipient of a precautionary custody order was identified and arrested.
Meanwhile, in the area between Via Arenaccia and Piazza Ottocalli, the Stella Operational Unit has intensified checks on compliance with the Highway Code, issuing 17 fines for violations such as driving the wrong way, driving without documents, expired driving licences and failure to have a vehicle inspected.
In addition, checks were carried out on 5 business, with 4 fines issued for illegal occupation of public land and the seizure of 30 kilograms of food not compliant with current legislation.
Widespread violations between irregular parking and illegal occupations
In Borgo Orefici, a joint operation by the Lawyer Operations Unit and the auxiliary parking staff led to the discovery of 197 violations for illegal parking, of which 12 were directly contested to the responsible parties. Four vehicles were towed away, two of which were uninsured.
In Piazza del Gesù and surrounding areas, checks on the occupation of public land by commercial businesses have revealed irregularities in five cases. Among these, the non-compliant installation of gazebos, lack of health authorizations and violations of concessions for catering. In one case, an illegal occupation of 43 square meters on the roadway was found.
Joint operation in Scampia
Finally, a joint operation in the 8th Municipality, involving the Scampia Operational Unit, the GIT motorcycle group and the Carabinieri, led to the control of 47 vehicles. 35 fines were contested, while 8 vehicles were subjected to administrative seizure and 9 to administrative detention.
These interventions confirm the commitment of the police forces in combating violations, ensuring greater safety for citizens and compliance with the rules in the capital of Campania.
