Alvaro Morata has finally explained the reasons that led him to leave the Milan after only six months: in a long interview given to the Spanish site Mark, the striker confirmed what had been circulated in the past regarding disagreements with coach Sergio Conceiçao and spoke about his experience at the Rossoneri club.
“I went to Milan for mister Fonseca, who showed me that he loved me very much, but after a few months, a project that seemed like one thing became something else”, began Morata, referring to the changes that have occurred within the team. “In the end, I wasn't so comfortable because I went there to be with Fonseca”, he added, clearly making it clear that his choice had been influenced by the bond with the former coach, who however left the club after a short time.
Morata also spoke about his vision of football, stressing that sometimes circumstances are not controllable. “It’s just football circumstances. In the end, everyone has to think about their own.”, he said, responding to those who might criticize his decision. And there was no shortage of jabs at his former club, regarding the difficulties of accessing the Champions League, where Milan is not yet certain of participating next season. “If everything goes well, next season I will play in the Champions League, and this is something very important for me”, has explained. “I wanted to continue competing at the highest European level, which is not easy.”
Morata he then spoke about his new adventure with Galatasaray, expressing great satisfaction with the choice he made. “I am very happy. I am living an experience that a priori may be different, but I have met a wonderful country, an incredible club and the nicest people to the max”, he said enthusiastically. “I love the life I have here and I am very happy I came.”

Morata did well to leave Milan since things were not going well. However, I wonder if it was the right choice in the long term. Galatasaray is a good club, but let's hope he doesn't regret this decision.
