The market on Via Zuccarini, known for both food and non-food activities, is the subject of concern due to the planned North Naples cycle path , part of a project funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) that will extend for fourteen kilometers to Scampia.
Around 120 vendors, who operate in the market every Thursday and Sunday, mobilized outside Palazzo San Giacomo, the seat of the Municipality, with the aim of opening a channel of communication with the institutions.
Despite being an active reality for decades, this market has never been officially recognized. “But we are not ghosts – the operators repeat – we have been working in via Zuccarini for decades”.
