Un 18 year old Neapolitan with a police record was arrested yesterday afternoon in Piazza Bellini, in the historic center of the city, for illicit possession of narcotic substances and reported for illegal carrying of weapons or objects capable of offending.
The operation is the result of the extraordinary checks prepared by Police Headquarters Napoli to combat drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons. The agents of theGeneral Prevention Office, during the patrol service, they noticed the young man while exchanging money for a small item with another person, who quickly walked away.
The police intervened immediately, stopping the 18-year-old and finding him in possession of: 5 cartons of hashish and a wrapper of the same substance (about 7 grams), 2,5 grams of marijuana, 80 euros in cash, divided into banknotes of various denominations. A folding knife with a 6 cm blade.
Given the evidence collected, the search was also extended to thethe young man's home, where they were found: a 20cm dagger, a folding knife with a 7 cm blade; a precision scale, mmaterial for drug packaging. The boy was arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities, while investigations continue to reconstruct any links with other individuals involved in drug dealing in the area.
