Naples- “No to the games of Roman politicking politics. We need a unified proposal that puts the real needs of Campania and the territories at the center.”
With these words the President of the Campania Region, Vincent DeLuca, opened today the closed-door meeting with the group leaders of his majority in the Regional Council, charting the course for the upcoming elections.
Unable to run again, De Luca confirmed his full participation in the construction of the political project for the post-government, inviting the center-left coalition to open up to the comparison with the 5 Star Movement and other forces. "We need to consolidate the alliance and expand it, valorizing the work done in these ten years", he said.
The meeting was attended by important figures such as Mario Casillo (PD), the President of the Council Gennaro Oliviero, Valeria Ciarambino (former M5S now allied with De Luca) and the vice-president of the Region Fulvio Bonavitacola.
“The starting point will be the government program carried out in these ten years”, De Luca reiterated, underlining that the presidential candidate must be "a figure capable of continuing the path undertaken and who enjoys the consensus of the entire coalition".
A clear message, addressed to an audience of councilors with strong electoral weight, in a crucial passage for the future of the center-left in Campania.

It seems that De Luca has a clear idea on how to proceed, but I do not know if his approach will work. There are many challenges to be faced and the real needs of the people must be listened to properly.
