Crimes discovered: from thefts to clandestine weapons
In Procida, a 66-year-old Ukrainian woman was reported for stealing a smartphone from a store, taking advantage of the clerk's distraction. Shortly after, a 35-year-old was caught with a switchblade tucked into his pants. On the dock, a driver attempted to board a car with an irregular foreign license plate, but was fined.
In Ischia, a 39-year-old with no criminal record got into trouble for two knives hidden in his backpack, while a 34-year-old was stopped with a machete in his belt. In the port, contraband cigarettes were confiscated from a passenger who had just disembarked.
Armored sea: 29 boats checked, 12 fines
The waters of the Marine Protected Area “Regno di Nettuno” were no exception: the Carabinieri patrol boat inspected 29 vessels, issuing 12 fines for illegal anchoring, missing documents and radio irregularities.

It's a situation that makes you think a lot, safety is important but sometimes it seems like there are too many controls. I don't know if it's right to fine people for so little, but in the end it's better to prevent.
