A season finale with the spotlight on them, one of the most feared opponents and a challenge that could decide the Scudetto. Cesc Fabregas' Como is preparing to write its page in one of the last acts of the 2024/25 Serie A, challenging Inter in a match that could overturn everything or consecrate Napoli as league leaders.
“Inter is the best team in Italy, one of the strongest in Europe”, acknowledges the Spanish coach, but immediately after raises his tone: "We will try to annoy them, with personality and trying to impose our football. We must be ready for anything to bring home the match."
Fabregas no alibis and few illusions about possible Nerazzurri distractions linked to the Champions League final or to the intersections with Napoli's race: “I don’t think they will be affected, they have an excellent coach in Inzaghi and they know how to handle the pressure.”
Como, Fabregas and the formation: “Pepe Reina will play”
Como's team will have to deal with some significant absences: Marc-Oliver Kempf is in doubt due to a knee problem, Goldaniga is suspended. But there will be room for two veterans who are taking their leave: “Pepe Reina and Alessio Iovine deserve playing time, it’s right that those who have given so much close the circle”.
On the transfer market front, Fabregas doesn't go too far but confirms his attention to the movements between Como and Real Madrid: "Nico Paz is one of our players and he's staying for now, but the market is dynamic. We've already started working on next season since January, there's a serious project and we want to continue growing."
