From Juventus fan to Napoli fan, passing through a near heart attack in front of the TV: the passion for the Azzurri has also overwhelmed Gaetano Manfredi. The mayor of Naples is no longer hiding, and on the eve of the challenge that could deliver the Scudetto to the city, he talks about his rediscovered support.
"In life there are many conversions, this is also a conversion. I'm really rooting for Napoli", he said smiling, answering those who asked him about his past Juventus sympathies. An emotional transformation that, he explains, is not only institutional but profoundly authentic: "I support Napoli because I'm the mayor, but also because I feel a real involvement. I almost had a heart attack following Inter-Lazio and Napoli-Parma in parallel, it was a real suffering."
