Naples – The checks of the Naples State Police to combat driving while intoxicated and under the influence of drugs.

The operations, conducted with the support of a mobile laboratory, doctors and specialized healthcare personnel, aim to prevent dangerous driving behaviors that continue to represent one of the main causes of serious and fatal road accidents.
In recent days, activities have been concentrated in two strategic areas: Pozzuoli, At the Astroni Barrier of the A56 Motorway, Ea Naples city, in the area of via Foria. Here the agents of the Highway Police of the Naples Section they carried out 84 vehicle checks and identified 138 Guests.
The balance speaks clearly:

3 people reported for driving under the influence of narcotics,

2 administrative sanctions for driving under the influence of alcohol,

5 driving licenses revoked.
Overall, the following were detected: 26 violations of the Highway Code, with a total of 70 points deducted from the licenses.
The operation is part of a wider road safety and prevention programme, promoted by the Department of Public Safety, aimed at promote conscious and rule-abiding driving, with the ultimate goal of protect human life.
