Naples – A shooting has shaken the tranquility of the night in Pianura: it happened in Piazza San Giorgio. The episode, which did not cause injuries or damage to property, immediately alerted the authorities.
Prefect Michele di Bari has ordered an increase in control services in the area, already the focus of targeted anti-crime activities.
In the area, the scene of feuds between clans, the shots fired would have an intimidating nature. The teams of the Flying Squad and the Naples Fuorigrotta Police Station intervened on site, engaged in ballistic surveys and in the acquisition of any footage from surveillance cameras.
Investigators are reconstructing the dynamics of the incident: presumed time between 2 and 3 in the morning. According to an initial reconstruction, at least ten shots were fired from a moving car.
The episode will be the focus of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety scheduled for the next few days. In the meantime, the reinforced patrols of the Police and Carabinieri continue in the area, where an operation to combat local Camorra groups has been underway for months.

Pianura is among the areas with the highest crime density in the Campania capital and has seen 5 shootings in the last 3 months. Investigations are continuing to identify those responsible for the shooting and reconstruct any connections with recent illegal activities in the neighborhood.
