Naples – This evening, the Carabinieri of the Naples Centro Company intervened at the Pellegrini hospital to provide assistance to a 29-year-old Nigerian citizen who was injured in an attack in Piazza Garibaldi.
According to initial reconstructions, still being examined by law enforcement, the man was approached by three compatriots who, with the intent of stealing his cell phone, attacked him by hitting him in the face with shards of bottles.
The victim, who was promptly rescued, is currently under observation at the Pellegrini hospital. His conditions are not serious: the doctors found a "trauma to the left hemiface and a stab wound to the left eyebrow arch".
I Carabinieri are conducting intensive investigations to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the incident and identify those responsible. The episode, which has shaken the Piazza Garibaldi area, already the scene of episodes of petty crime, keeps the attention of the authorities high, committed to ensuring security and clarifying the circumstances of this affair.
