Claudio Gubitosi, founder and director of the famous Giffoni Film Festival, will be the guest of honor on the opening day of the first edition of the **Nuceria Teatro Festival Ragazzi, scheduled from 5 to 7 June 2025 at the Archaeological Park of Nocera Superiore (SA).

Official inauguration with the institutions
On Thursday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m., Gubitosi will be alongside the mayor of Nocera Superiore Gennaro D'Acunzi, the artistic director of the festival Maurizio Merolla, the deputy mayor Antonella Battipaglia, the municipal councilor for Culture Giuseppe Senatore and the actor Tony Palma, artistic consultant of the event. The ribbon cutting will mark the beginning of a review that will involve cultural associations, operators in the sector and the students of three schools: the Comprehensive Institute 'Ilaria Alpi' of Nocera Inferiore, the Comprehensive Institute 'Nuceria' and the Comprehensive Institute 'Fresa – Pascoli'.

“It is a great joy for all of us to have Claudio Gubitosi at our side, creator and patron of the Giffoni Film Festival, a point of reference for cinema dedicated to young people for over 50 years”, declared Mayor D'Acunzi. “We look with admiration at the Giffoni model, a true cultural factory active all year round thanks to the Cittadella del Cinema and the Multimedia Valley. The figure of Gubitosi is a great inspiration for our festival, which wants to enhance the languages of theater and culture”.
Shows, workshops and great guests
The festival, artistically curated by Maurizio Merolla, offers a rich program of shows, workshops and meetings with important guests. The aim is to bring the youngest closer to the world of theater, actively involving schools and cultural realities of the territory.
Grand finale with prizes and tributes to Italian theatre
The final evening of June 7, 2025 will be hosted by journalists Mariù Adamo and Michelangelo Iossa, together with Merolla himself. On that occasion, the **Odeon Bifronte sculptures/award, created by the artist Maria Rosaria Petrungaro, will be awarded.
The festival will pay homage to the great Antonio de Curtis, aka Totò, with a special award to his niece Elena Anticoli de Curtis. Awards also for the dancer and choreographer André de la Roche and for the actor Luca Lombardo, protagonist of the mask theater show “Magichite”.
