An Orchestra among the Plants
The Botanical Garden of Naples will be transformed into a true sound forest thanks to the Orchestra Scarlatti Junior, conducted by Maestro Gaetano Russo. The initiative represents the VII edition of Orto Sonoro – Un suono per ogni Pianta, the final event of the Scarlatti 300 cycle, part of the Concerti per Federico series, organized by the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti in collaboration with the University of Naples Federico II, within the cultural project F2 Cultura.
Musical Walks and Traveling Ensembles
During the first part of the event, young musicians from the Orchestra Scarlatti Junior will animate various chamber ensembles, distributed along the paths and green spaces of the botanical garden. The public will thus be able to undertake real musical walks, immersing themselves in notes and nature.
Final Concert at the Central Greenhouse
Around 19:00 pm, in the large central greenhouse, the entire Orchestra will gather for a short but intense symphonic concert. The program will open with the Hymn of the University of Naples Federico II, and then travel through a rich musical panorama: from the harmonies of Alessandro Scarlatti, in homage to the 300 years since his death, to the colors of Georges Bizet, to the passion of Edward Elgar, up to the overwhelming crescendo of Maurice Ravel's *Boléro*.
