Naples' nightlife under scrutiny: tight controls in the historic center, arrests and fines.

Naples – A high-impact traffic control operation has recently targeted the nightlife areas of Naples' historic center . The operation, coordinated by the Carabinieri of the Naples Central Company, along with the Municipal Police and the Naples Local Health Authority, resulted in a significant toll: 38 people identified, 14 vehicles checked, and 17 traffic tickets issued.

Among the most significant findings were two arrests. A 37-year-old Neapolitan man, known to law enforcement, was stopped with a fake ID valid for travel abroad. Another man, 38, was stopped while attempting to steal parts from a parked car. He was also charged with violating the mandatory expulsion order issued by the Naples Police Chief.

During the checks, eight other people were reported. Among them, a man was reported for driving without a license and for threatening officers during the check. Four drivers were reported for repeated driving without a license over the two-year period, while a man under house arrest was charged with evading arrest. Two individuals were reported for illegally operating parking attendants.

Particular attention was also paid to businesses on Via San Sebastiano. One restaurant was fined six times for non-compliance, totaling approximately €3. A bar on the same street faced the same fate, receiving four fines totaling approximately €3.

The operation confirms the police's commitment to ensuring safety and compliance in the city's busiest areas, including roadside checks and public health checks.
