It all began on Via Vigliena, a short walk from the port and the victims' home. Brothers Vincenzo and Ugo Ambrosio, 34 and 33 years old respectively, ran into an acquaintance with whom they apparently had a serious prior disagreement. Within minutes, the tension escalated.

At that point, the situation got out of hand: the Ambrosio brothers called their father, 59-year-old Salvatore, asking him to join them. Their rival did exactly the same. What was supposed to be a family clarification turned into a blood trap: according to initial reports, it was the rival's father, upon arriving on the scene, who coldly pulled out a gun and opened fire on the three Ambrosios, hitting them all in the legs before fleeing.

Rescue operations and "lockdown" in hospitals

The injured themselves, bleeding but alert, raised the alarm and called for help. To avoid possible retaliation or dangerous interactions, 118 ambulances sent the family to three different hospitals in the city: Vincenzo was taken to the "Vecchio Pellegrini" hospital, Ugo to the "Cardarelli" hospital, while his father Salvatore was admitted to the Ospedale del Mare. None of them are in life-threatening danger.
