San Prisco: 43-year-old arrested for domestic abuse

This morning in San Prisco, Carabinieri officers from the local station arrested a 43-year-old man accused of mistreatment of family members or cohabitants. The operation was prompted by a report of a domestic dispute, which also required the intervention of the local Carabinieri's Operations and Mobile Unit.

The woman involved reported being attacked by her husband, suffering a head injury. After being treated by medical personnel, she was taken to Marcianise Hospital, where she was given a four-day prognosis.

The man, who initially fled, was located by the police and, following investigations, arrested and taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison. During the investigation, further incidents of abuse, both physical and psychological, emerged, which had apparently continued over time but had not yet been reported.

The case is now under judicial review, with the arrested man retaining the presumption of innocence until a final sentence is handed down.
