Piazza Capuana: 46-year-old arrested on drug charges; buyer fined
Near Piazza Capuana, officers from the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station intercepted a drug dealing operation during scheduled operations. The on-site investigation revealed a drug-for-money exchange between two individuals.
The department's intervention allowed them to arrest both individuals: the arrested man, 46, was found in possession of five packages of heroin and a 10 euro note, presumably the sum collected from the operation.
The buyer was found in possession of the purchased dose. For these reasons, the man was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to distribute, while the buyer was fined for unlawful possession of narcotics for personal use.
