After the extraordinary success recorded in Pompeii, with over 5.400 attendees for 12 events, tonight we start from the remains of the Villa of Poppea, second wife of the emperor Nero. Four meetings in total (in addition to today, tomorrow, 13 and 14 September) starting at 19.45:12 pm: a visit to the imperial villa is planned, illuminated and animated by the show produced by Le Nuvole-casa del contemporaneo entitled “Nero e le Imperatrici”. An initiative that introduces visitors to the discovery of one of the most fascinating and precious sites in the Vesuvian archaeological area: music, dance and acting will lead the public to the discovery of stories and myths from two thousand years ago. Poppea's villa is included among the assets that UNESCO has defined as World Heritage. It is a grandiose residential construction from the middle of the 10st century BC, expanded in the imperial age and attributed to Poppaea Sabina, second wife of the emperor Nero. The site of Oplontis, directed by Immacolata Bergamasco, is part of the archaeological park of Pompeii.
