After the terms of his pre-trial detention expired, Vincenzo Pariante is a free man.
The old boss of Secondigliano regained his freedom after the Supreme Court overturned the life sentence against him and against Raffaele and Francesco Abbinante accused of the double murder of Fulvio Montanino and his uncle Claudio Salierno. The two were massacred on October 24, 2004. That ambush went down in the annals of Camorra history as the one that gave rise to the first feud of Scampia with the Scissionisti and the five families of Secondigliano all against the Di Lauros. There were 28 people who played a role in that blatant ambush.
Reconstructed several times over the last few years with the repentance of new Camorristi linked to the various clans and therefore with new details and other people involved. According to what the repentants said and what emerged from the various trials, the commando of killers was composed of Ciro Mauriello, Gennaro Marino, Gianluca Giuliano, Carmine Pagano and Carmine Cerrato. The repentant boss Rosario Pariante said about the double murder Salierno-Montanino: “They had killed Federico Bizzarro in Qualiano, he was one of our affiliates and we tried to understand who had done it. Two of our affiliates came to trial in public, namely Arcangelo Abete and Antonio Ronga, known as 'o curto…. I communicated from the cell and they from the public because between us a few words, a few gestures were enough to understand who had done it. I mimed with the gesture of two fingers rotating on themselves indicating the murder and with my lips I asked who had done it. Abete responded by miming a ponytail that indicated for me without a shadow of a doubt Cosimo Di Lauro, Paolo's son who wore a ponytail. In that same hearing we decided to react.
The person to eliminate who could harm Cosimo Di Lauro was Fulvio Montanino. It was Antonio Abbinante who proposed it, along with the rest of us, namely me, Guido Raffaele. The latter also had reasons for personal resentment towards Montanino because in '91, '92 and '93 he had shot a certain Tramontano who was a sympathizer of the Abbinantes and carried out illegal activities for them. Montanino did not warn of this murder. I physically gave the order and said the name "Fulvietto" to which Abete and Ronga understood and nodded, This was the way I communicated with my affiliates: a few words and a nod". But now the Court of Cassation has annulled the end never for Raffaele and Francesco Abbinante and Vincenzo Pariante.
