LThe State Police of Caserta has executed 9 Daspo orders in relation to the episodes of disturbance of public order that occurred at the end of the football match Asd Gladiator 1924 – Puteolana 1902. The orders were issued by the police chief of Caserta against an equal number of supporters of the visiting team, all residents of Pozzuoli, aged between 23 and 36. The adoption of the Daspo orders arises from the critical events that occurred at the end of the football match played in Santa Maria Capua Vetere on 14 October 2018. The 9 recipients were banned from accessing places where sporting events are held, for one to eight years. At the end of the match, some members of the visiting fans, after covering their faces with scarves and hoods and brandishing poles and glass bottles, attempted to attack some local fans who were trying to leave the stadium. The clash was prevented by the intervention of the police forces on duty at the stadium. In the circumstance, a scientific police officer suffered physical injuries to his hand and shoulder as one of the visiting supporters – the recipient of today's provision with a duration of 8 years and prescriptions – attempted to steal his camera. Three of them, repeat offenders as they had already previously received a similar provision, were given a Daspo with a duration of five to eight years and with the requirement to report to the police station half an hour before the start and half an hour after the end of each Puteolana match, whether played at home or away. For the remaining players, the Daspo will last from a minimum of one year to a maximum of two.
