IThe start of the year will be marked by great cold. This is what the experts at www.iimeteo.it predict, according to whom already today the entry of air from the North and Northeast will cause a worsening of the weather on the middle and lower Adriatic, on the Ionian coasts and on northern Sicily with scattered rain and snowfall on the hills. Tomorrow will be a rather sunny day in most regions, with a harsh climate and strong northerly winds in the South, but starting from Wednesday the weather scenario will change radically due to the effect of a rushing and violent irruption of freezing air of arctic-continental origin on our country. According to Antonio Sano', director and founder of the site, the winds will blow very strong on the middle and lower Adriatic, on the Tyrrhenian and Ionian Seas and will bring snowfall to the coasts and plains of Marche, Abruzzo, Molise, Puglia and Basilicata, perhaps even to northern Sicily and Calabria: the snow will fall in the form of a blizzard especially on Thursday 3 and Friday 4. On the temperature front, a real thermal collapse of 15 degrees is expected with maximum values of 0-2 throughout the South, up to 5 C in Rome and the rest of the North. Intense night frosts in the North with -6 in the plains, up to -25 at 2.500 meters and values below zero also in the rest of Italy.
