“On Tuesday 30 April at 10:00 at the University of Salerno you will have the opportunity to meet and discuss with Dr. Marco Cappato during the initiative “Free to Disobey?”. The topics of civil disobedience, living wills and legal euthanasia will be discussed. Marco Cappato, a former MEP and member of parliament, is currently the leader of the Luca Coscioni association, as well as the promoter of the World Congress for Freedom of Research and the “Legal Euthanasia” campaign, which also led to the filing of a popular initiative law in Parliament. During the initiative, after the greetings of the student component, the lawyer Franco di Paola, member of the Luca Coscioni association, the professor of Criminal Law Antonino Sessa, the professor of Constitutional Law Mario Panebianco and the Magistrate and President of the “Filiberto and Bianca Menna” Foundation Claudio Tringali will speak. The event is organized by the student associations Futura Aud, ASG Associazione Studenti Giurisprudenza and OPS – Oasi della Partecipazione Studentesca.
As a student component, we believe that meetings of this type focused on debate and on such highly topical issues are fundamental, especially in a context like the university, which should promote these opportunities for growth. From this point of view, the event is in continuity with the cultural and awareness-raising activities that we have already promoted in the past as student associations. This is why our invitation is extended to all interested citizens and, in particular, to all male and female students.”
