Three out of ten, including restaurants, pubs and bars remain closed. Confesercenti Campania underlines "the importance of reopening, even if only for two days".
Saccording to the estimates and information in possession of Confesercentabout 70% of businesses have decided to reopen today and tomorrow. "The open dialogue with the Region - says the president of Confesercenti Campania Vincenzo Schiavo - has produced this opening that was not at all a given. The meeting that, together with the regional leaders of Fiepet (Italian Federation of public and tourist operators) Politelli and Martucci, we had with the regional councilor Marchiello has generated an important breath of fresh air, given the moment, for restaurateurs and workers.
In Campania we count 18 thousand restaurants and 38 thousand bars and wineries: of these 56 thousand businesses, which employ over 200 thousand workers, at least 36 thousand are opening in these 48 hours, with a turnover of over 36 million euros and with the employment of approximately 130 thousand employees.
An opportunity - explains Schiavo - also for workers, because in this way the economy turns, even if only a little, and the bare minimum is guaranteed also to employees, who have been waiting for the CIG for some months. This is why we believe - concludes Schiavo - that it was important to obtain this two-day reopening, while waiting to have a clear, certain and far-sighted calendar for the opening and closing of our activities, which require planning".
