Vaccines, first doses stopped in Naples: boosters start on Thursday
Land vaccinations at the Mostra d'Oltremare in Naples are also stopped today, as previously planned, awaiting completion of the shipment of doses to Campania. The ASL Napoli 1 has decided at this point to stop the administration of the first dose and to restart directly on Thursday 21 January with the administration of the second dose to those who have already been vaccinated.
The ASL of Naples is in fact conserving the vaccines so as to never be caught with those who have already had the first injection. At the moment the ASL has vaccinated 69% of all those who had voluntarily joined, therefore approximately 14.500 health workers from hospitals, ASL districts, private clinics, accredited centers and residential facilities have had the first dose.
"I am sorry - explains the general director of the ASL Napoli 1 Ciro Verdoliva to ANSA - that we cannot guarantee the first dose to those who have not yet received it, and I hope to receive the supplies from the company as soon as possible as already foreseen in the program so as to proceed as soon as possible to the conclusion of the T1 phase. We are ready, we have the facilities and the doctors, but we depend on those who send us the vaccines".
