The Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples arrested four smugglers in the “Barra” neighborhood of the capital and seized 6 quintals of cigarettes.
In particular, the Yellow Flames Neapolitans, during economic control activities in the territory, noticed a van that was entering a park, joined a few minutes later by a second vehicle.
The finance police intervened just as the smugglers were loading and unloading the packs of cigarettes, discovering a large load of “blondes”, of the “cheap white” type, Regina brand, in the compartments of the commercial vehicles.
A 27-year-old from Cercola, a 30-year-old from Castellammare, a 42-year-old from Torre Annunziata and a 30-year-old from Naples were arrested and fined for violations of the “anti-covid” legislation because they were in a municipality other than their domicile or residence without valid reasons.

The contraband cigarettes, all of which were found to be lacking the state stamp, if placed on the illegal market, would have generated revenues of approximately 250.000 euros.
This anti-smuggling operation is the result of the intensification of economic control services in the territory and prevention of risks connected to the Covid-19 pandemic organized by the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples also in view of the upcoming Easter holidays.
