South Italian Fashion, the first consortium of companies in the fashion sector in Southern Italy
SOUTH ITALIAN FASHION (SI FASHION) is a new consortium designed to help independent Italian micro and small businesses and professionals in the fashion sector operating in the eight regions of Southern Italy, namely Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sicily and Sardinia, with the aim of conquering new market shares, especially internationally.
SI Fashion was born in Salerno within IFTA – Independent Fashion Talent Association, the associative structure that conceived, organized and produced fashion events, such as the 2019 and 2020 editions of IFTAHUB in Milan, EVENING DRESSES SHOW 2019 and 2020 in Salerno and five rounds of IFTAWARDS, from 2016 to 2021, in collaboration with ICE-Agenzia and other public bodies, first and foremost the Campania Region and the Abruzzo Region.
"We want to involve fashion companies, manufacturers and stylists and those who work in the various areas of the sector to reach, all together, important goals. We want to face the difficulties that characterize the current moment in the best possible way, putting the members in the conditions to be able to give continuity to their entrepreneurial projects, until making the South the virtuous lever of Made in Italy" said Roberto Jannelli, at the helm of the new consortium.
SI Fashion has a five-year duration and uses technical, fiscal, accountant and legal consultants able to intercept and make accessible European public funds, competitions and international fairs.
In addition to president Roberto Jannelli and vice president Francesca Ciccarelli, the team includes Michela Zio, general manager, Stefania Cavaliere, marketing manager and Eugenio Astone as brand manager.
Among the next steps of the consortium, the launch of PHENOMENA, the trade fair event combined with the Award of the same name that will shine the spotlight on female empowerment in Southern Italy at the Aurum in Pescara, from 9 to 11 July 2021 and, to follow, the third edition of EVENING DRESSES SHOW, the international evening and cocktail dress show, at the Stazione Marittima Zaha Hadid in Salerno, from 1 to 3 September.
