"From bad to worse. A few words to photograph the summer of public transport in Naples. Neapolitan citizens, tourists who visit our city are defenseless protagonists of a typical day of unbearable immobility. If these are the dress rehearsals of public transport, we do not dare to imagine what awaits us in a few weeks with the opening of schools.
Faced with an indecent public transport system, in disrepair for years and which today, more than yesterday, shows all its inefficiencies, we witness the usual words, discussions and electoral promises of mayoral candidates. We have only one certainty: less efficiency and effectiveness of public transport inevitably means more private cars on the road and more smog for the lungs of citizens".
In a note, Mariateresa Imparato, president of Legambiente Campania, denounces the ongoing inefficiencies and inconveniences of public transport in Naples.
